SEARCHING FOR THE FOURTH RIVER, 2004

In “disguise” as geological investigators, we collected various versions of this Fourth River urban legend. The project encouraged everyone to be part of the legend, to tell what he or she had heard about it, or make something up. We traded stories about sightings of the river during the construction of buildings, flooding the William Penn Hotel, and directions on how to find the river with a very long stick.
