installation, public action

After turning my studio into a greenhouse and letting potato plants grow wild and leggy in my studio, I extended the practice to the galley front and street, and invited others to plant their own. I collected over a hundred pounds of potatoes and let them go to seed. Simultaneously, I collected my research about the potato from historical, agricultural and even recent advances to genetic modification of the plant and invited gallery goes to share their own personal anecdotes about the potato. The gallery was base of distribution and story collection.
